God, teach me YOUR TRUTH!

 

In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, on the seventeenth day of the second month, on that same day all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the windows and floodgates of the heavens were opened. Genesis 7:11

This is a commentary worth sharing.  "the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the windows and floodgates of the heavens were opened."  "This description of the first rain portrays a thundering, catastrophic event, accompanied by violent upheaval of the earth's crust and geysers of water bursting from the depths.  The violence and the amount of water involved are more than enough to account for many peculiarities of the earth's surface, such as the formation of the Grand Canyon.  The flood also explains the enormous quantity of fossilized remains of plants, animals, and shellfish that are buried in layers of rock over the entire surface of the earth and even on the tops of mountains." 

I'm not much of a TV person but when I come across a sitcom or a movie that throws a line or two about something from the Bible, it shows that man is fully aware of the Truth, even if they choose to make jokes about it.  Don't let anyone sway you into believing anything other than what the Word of God says.  The Word of God is infallible.  They can write off all these findings as part of this big bang theory [a supposition or a system of ideas intended to explain something].  Archeology cements the Word of God!

If you are unsure of what the truth is [about anything and everything in life], if there is a tug within your heart, knowing there must be more, my advice is that you sit down with the Bible and read it chapter by chapter, book by book and take the time to ask God to teach you TRUTH! When I first started reading the Bible the New Living Translation (NLT) worked best for me.  It is translated in simplest terms to help you understand it. 

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS.  Matthew 11:29
